Artist of the month - Chet Zar

California resident and native, Chet Zar has created an incredible body of work in his 49 years of life. Often described as Dark and Fantastic, his career began right out of high school. After gaining early notarity in the film industry, Chet took Clive Barkers advise and branched out on his own,  creating original works of art in oil as well as sculptures. I am thrilled to say that the painting above, "3 Eyed Stare", is in my private collection, after having it commissioned in 2015. 2016 was an incredible year for Chet with having completed his fully funded Kickstarter to launch his book, as well as his Distopia show (complete with new oil paintings and live versions of some of the creatures and characters he has created) as well as the release of Mike Correll's documentary Chet Zar: I Like To Paint Monsters.
